Before you print

Check the actual exported code and a finished proof—not just the generator preview. Use this sheet before ordering a batch.

Check the destination

Scan the exported image. Confirm the exact link or action is the one you intended.
Open links as a guest, without your signed-in account. For Wi-Fi, test joining on a phone that is not already connected.

Check the size and image

Choose a starting size for the real scan distance. A sizing rule or calculator is not a guarantee.
Use a dark pattern on a light background. Send an SVG if your printer accepts it, or a PNG with enough pixels for the final size.

Keep the margin

Keep at least four modules of clear space on every side. One module is one small square in the pattern.
Keep text, trim, folds, and artwork outside that space. Do not stretch the code or assume a logo is safe because it is centered.

Test the finished piece

Print one proof at actual size. Test on more than one phone, at the normal distance and in the expected lighting.
Test through the real frame, stand, glass, or finish. Check that the destination works, not just that the phone recognizes the image.

Fix before ordering

If anything fails, fix it and test again before ordering. Keep a readable fallback link or connection instructions nearby. Recheck signs when destinations or network details change.
